Black Business Owners
=====================================
NEWS UPDATE
=====================================
Black Business Owners who are able to survive after the seven year mark of “do or die” are a rare commodity these days or so it would seem. The major pitfall they face is that although African Americans have over 700 billion dollars available to spend as they choose, they only spend six to eight percent with Black business. Ninety-three to ninety-four percent of the money that could ideally be earned by the black owned business goes to someone outside of the community. That “someone” does not look like an African American, does not particularly care anything about the customer outside of the amount of money they spend, and will not go out of their way to do anything to improve the lifestyle of the African American. They are too busy putting such energy into their own families and their own communities. It is time for Black business women and men to begin to appreciate, nurture and assist their communities by supporting the black business association which will have their own interest more at heart.
Black Business Owners
There needs to be a new perspective developed among Black business owners regarding money as it is as necessary to survival and the food that is consumed and the blood that runs through the body. One of the inherited reactions many African Americans have toward money is that it is the root of all evil. There must be healing instituted within the financial infrastructure of the Black community in order to develop a more healthy relationship with money - to understand it is simply an energy that is given in exchange for other energy. The African American community expends a great deal of outgoing energy without taking in any energy. That spells deficit no matter how one attempts to figure it. The Black business bears the brunt of such deficiency.
Black Owned Business
Black owned business is growing in the strength and numbers as the collective has begun to take up the banner of financially educating the Black community as well as providing viable outlets for applying theory to practice. The Black business association is a concept whose time has come. A great many of them generated by Black business women, in particular, who are heeding the call and banding together to promote healing and growth amidst black business owners. The National Black Business Trade Association (NBBTA), whose motto is “Every month is Black Business awareness month,” is one of those associations. It is leading a campaign make the world more aware of the importance of Black business. It understands that more attention needs to be paid to the impact Black entrepreneurship has on all avenues of mainstream society.
